This room was finished with the original 1960’s wood paneling. The previous owners had used it for a bedroom. This room was a front room on the first floor of the house and the home owners thought this space would be better utilized as a dining space with a new door creating an entryway to the kitchen.
This was one of Trey’s favorite projects and he designed it from start to finish. First he gutted the room down to the studs, insulated the walls to protect against the cold NY winters and cut a new opening that would serve as an entry between the new dining room and kitchen. He installed new drywall, LED overhead lighting, 5ft wainscoting, coffered ceiling and custom window and door trim. To finish this room off, he installed a 1 ft wide fully paneled elegant entryway between the kitchen and dining room. Light now filtered into the kitchen through the front windows of the house, creating an open layout on the first level of the home.
